Currently interim Headteacher at Hintlesham and Chattisham Primary School.

I moved to Swilland from London in the 1980s with my three children. For twenty six years I was the head teacher of a challenging school in Ipswich and retired in 2009. I missed working too much, so spent two years in Abu Dhabi, where my daughter lives, advising local Arabic Teachers. The stimulation of working in a country with such a different culture was very exciting, but sadly the project came to an end. When I returned to England, I was appointed as Acting Head teacher to two village schools. I am currently working as a Leadership Advisor in another Ipswich school and enjoy every minute. My grandchildren attended Witnesham School for a year, so I was fortunate to meet many of you as I was on 'grandmother' duties in the playground from time to time. As an experienced Head teacher, I am very glad to be involved with both schools and use some of my expertise to benefit the children.
