I grew up in South Buckinghamshire and was educated at the Royal Grammar School in High Wycombe; a school known for rugby, I played at a reasonably high level before injury cut short my career.

Having spent 4 years at the University of Lancaster (Ambleside campus), I developed my passion for outdoor learning and still incorporate this into school life.

I have been living and working in Suffolk since the year 2000, spending several years as a Deputy Headteacher in two large primary schools, prior to beginning my new role at Otley and Witnesham. I have a Masters degree in Education and am a mathematics specialist teacher.

I live with my partner and our 3 children and spend my free time walking our dog, outdoor pursuits, playing my guitars and playing golf, as well as continuing my love for drama and theatre, by regularly attending shows locally and in the West End.

My plans for the future are to continue to develop and hone my skills as a school leader, providing the very best for Otley and Witnesham; marriage to my partner; and having a positive work / life balance.
