I was born in Suffolk and raised in the village of Henley, just north of Ipswich. In 2002 I moved to the city of Lincoln to the Bishop Grosseteste University to study Geography and Education, I followed this with a PGCE qualification. I remained in the city for my first three years of teaching, gaining experience as a class teacher across different year groups and cultivating a passion for Science and Eco elements of school life.

In 2010 I moved back to Ipswich and began teaching at Witnesham Primary school. I was attracted to the school by its rural location and beautiful school grounds, along with its community focus and family feel, I quickly settled and have always felt motivated to give everything I could to the school. I have taught year 5 and 6 all the time I have been at the school, guiding eight year 6 classes through their SATs exams. As I have developed as a class teacher, so my wider school responsibilities have increased. I have held positions of - PE coordinator, Science Coordinator for the federation, initiated and supported the schools Eco Schools programme, resulting in gaining further Eco awards and have also maintained and developed the school website.

Spending the last eight years at Witnesham Primary school has enabled me to develop good relationships with parents, the School Association and members of the local community and I look forward to serving the school in the years to come.
