I spent my working life in Education. I spent twenty years as a headteacher in three different schools, including two Church of England village schools. I spent a further ten years as a consultant headteacher, which included three interim headships.

When I retired, I felt that I still wanted to be involved in the field of education, and offered myself as a Local Authority governor. I became a governor at Rougham in 2012.

I now serve as Chair of the Learning and Achievement Committee, a committee that both supports and challenges the school leadership, as it strives to give the best possible education to all the children in our care.
