New Governors' Induction Pack

When a new governor joins a governing body there is a lot of information for them to discover and assimulate.  Suffolk Governors Support provides a general information pack for all governors but there is also local information that should be provided.  The GovernorsOnline system enables the  governing body to hold this information in a structured manner for all governors but it can still be rather daunting for a new governor to access this.

In order to help new governors access the information they need, we have created a New Governors' Information Pack.  This is a document that gives details on how to access the Governors' Website and provides active links to documents both within the Governors' Website and elsewhere.  Provided the user is logged in to the Governors' Website the links will take them directly to information held there.

It is a requirement of FMSiS that new governors should be provided with infromation to help them understand the workings and responsibilities of the Governing Body.  The New Governors' Information Pack fulfills that requirement and can be used as evidence for the FMSiS audit.

The basic MS Word document is available for download here.  The Link Governor can incorporate this within a school template and customise the links as indicated.  The document can then be passed on to new governors including log in details for the Governors' Website. (N.B. the comments can be deleted before passing on)
